Our good friend Leo Pecanha will be in town over the next week to complete his training for his upcoming main event bout against Jorge Santiago for Titan in KC. He will be available for private BJJ lessons throughout the week. Please see Anthony or Toby at the front desk to schedule.

We happy to announcement the addition of Zumba classes starting Saturday, March 10th!  Classes will be held every Saturday at 9:00-10:00am.  The Zumba classes are part of our regular class offering at no additional charge.   This class is perfect for students wanting a change of pace and stay active over the weekend.

MAMA is extremely happy and humbled to announce we will be hosting the legendary Master Chai Sirisute for a Thai Boxing seminar the weekend of July 21-22!

Having fought over 70 fights in Muay Thai, retiring as a fighter in 1968, Master Chai left Thailand to teach in America.   He is the founder of the Thai Boxing Association of the United States.

All MAMA students are highly encouraged to not miss this opportunity to train with one of the true legends of the martial arts and greatest teachers.

MAMA is helping out some of our Lincoln friends doing the Body by Vi 90 day BJJ Challenge…sound crazy?  Well maybe, but if anyone can pull it off it’s MAMA!

Big Congratulations to Ed Shobe on his promotion to black belt!! Eddie is first home grown legitimate BJJ black belt in the state of Nebraska…an accomplishment some 14 years in the making!

Also, congrats to Anthony Carlson’s graduation to a long overdue brown belt, Matt Lippold’s 3-stripe purple belt and Jesse Thomson’s bump to purple belt.

Big thanks to Rodrigo Vaghi and Bryan Guidry making the trip up from St. Louis for the promotions and the grand opening of our Lincoln school.

MAMA’s Andy Johnson received burns during his call to duty while saving a little girl. Please keep him in your thoughts as he recovers from his injuries. Bravo Andy and Thank You for your service!!

MAMA students should routinely check the Calendar for upcoming events and scheduled gym closures. Note to all muay thai students: testing will now be held on Friday nights on a bi-monthly basis…please reference the calendar for the 2012 testing dates. BJJ stripes test dates are also listed. Thanks!
